December Amsterdam Break Deals

  December sees the Amsterdam Light Festival which makes the city feel particularly festive. A canal cruise called “Water Colours” and a walking tour called the “Illuminade”. There are many events taking place throughout the city at this time at museums, theatres, restaurants and shops and it is worth checking out what is on if you are there in December.

  Although not as well known as those in central Europe, the Christmas markets in Amsterdam bring a real vibrancy to the city. Leidesplein and Koningspein both house many market stalls at this time of year and there are Christmas themed Sunday markets taking place at various locations throughout the city.

  For something a little less festive, you may wish to consider the Art in Redlight festival which takes place in the red light district/ old town. The festival is a celebration of music, art, design, dance video, visual art and much more besides!
